Fifty years after the first expansion was done to the original Jeter Cemetery, space for future generations were needed. Starting at the turn of the century (2000), additional acreage was cleared, graded and surveyed to expand the cemetery.

The first expansion of the Jeter Cemetry already filled the inside loop of Jeter Cemetery Loop Road. The new chapel was to the right side of the cemetery. This meant the best area to expand to would be on the outside of the Jeter Cemetary Loop Road and be on the left side of the Jeter Cemetery. A Gate was placed to the entrance and a chain link fence surounding the plots were put in place. This is the second expansion for the cemetery and is referenced on this website as the Second Expansion.
